News From A Different Market
Speaking of spring markets…it’s a sure sign the season has changed when the farmers market at Evergreen Brick Works moves from inside to the great outdoors!
There is plenty of space for people, strollers, and dogs to peruse the goods ranging from organic meats to local teas. You can even buy a log that is pre-inoculated to grow your own shitake mushrooms!
But by far the most exciting change this year is the new legislation allowing the sale of VQA wines at farmers markets! Yesterday was the first day with wines on display, and there was applause from the crowd as the announcement was made over loudspeakers.
I think I felt a little tear in my eye. 🙂
