Sadly there is yet another scam artist operation in progress across Canada, wherein foreign property owners target renters with deals that seem too good to be true.  The scammers operate remotely, sending fake ID to identify themselves and listing fake properties, or real properties that are not actually for rent.  The renter wires a security deposit, and does not receive keys in return.  See this CBC article for further details:
