Over the weekend, our local Staples store (on Vanderhoof Avenue in Leaside) installed an enormous new recycling station in partnership with TerraCycle. Not only can members of the public drop off a variety of batteries and printer ink cartridges, but they also accept plastic pens and small electronic devices, such as cell phones!

For those of us looking to live a greener life and reduce our carbon footprint, this is a really helpful way to avoid sending our waste to landfills.

Before you toss something in the garbage, take a moment to see if it can instead be recycled. Your local Staples or Home Depot stores might offer these recycling facilities that help each of us to be more environmentally responsible!  Go green!
